Patrol Division – Kernersville Police Department

The Uniformed Patrol Division is divided into four platoons: Adam, Baker, Charlie, and David. Each platoon is comprised of a Lieutenant, a Sergeant, and six Officers. The department provides twenty-four-hour traditional patrol functions. Patrol Officers are assigned to one of four zones within the town limits of Kernersville. Zone patrol helps Officers focus on community-oriented policing where they can work closely with citizens and business members in Kernersville. Patrol Officers respond to all types of calls for service. A call for service represents a singular incident or situation that was called in by a citizen or a call that is initiated by the Patrol Officer.
